Botox

Did you know ...

Botox can also be used to treat excess sweat production, for example the underarms?

So-called hyperhidrosis, i.e. an excessive production of sweat, can also be treated using Botox. Superficial injections in affected areas bring about a marked reduction in sweating. A common treatment area is the axillae or “armpits”. The effects last for about 6 months.

Unfortunately the activity of muscles used in facial expression can lead to the development of wrinkles – Botox therapy is recommended. The treatment blocks the activity of some of the muscle fibers, lessening the wrinkles between the eyebrows, the horizontal wrinkles on the forehead, the tiny wrinkles around the eyes (i.e. “crow’s feet”) related to smiling, etc.

A treatment takes about 15 minutes to complete, and you can resume your normal day-to-day activities immediately. The effects are achieved after 3-4 days and last for 4-6 months.

Botox treatment can be regularly repeated.

Botox can also be used in migraine treatment

Unfortunately it’s not so well know that a few simple Botox injections can do more than reduce or eliminate wrinkles. There are also many medical applications for Botox, among them the treatment of migraine headaches. In many cases Botox therapy has resulted in a reduction in the amount of medication needed to treat this condition. The beneficial effects of such a treatment last for 4-6 months.
